Cool That's the way I like it (intro)

Just a quick intro:

This really seems a place worth spending ones reading time on, and not easy to keep shut.
Although I wonder for what reason other than to challenge their own faith believers of any religion would come here, while obviously they do.

About me: am a non-native, so please forgive uncommon ways of expressing myself, the constant spelling mistakes and the use of alike sounding words but with different meaning.

Am a non-believer, not an atheist, for I do believe in the moon, not really as a goddess, but as the only existance in this cosmos that I could always rely on and that was always there for me.
Fate, directed by our own esteem, ... and than there is a little mindreading and forseeing ability within me, or I'm simply paranoid with a pinch of cleverness and knowledge of basic psychology and characteristics.

Also am I a non-American in the sence of origin, residence and ideology, please forgive.

Welcome, Leah.

I believe the moon exists in the cosmos as well!

There's people from all over the globe. Admittedly most are quite fluent in English but you're not the only one who shows the obvious evidence of learning it after childhood.

Besides, your spelling/grammar is better than my wife's. (She learned her first English as an adult.)

Yeah, I feel like that sometimes too. People are just so predictable, sometimes.

Welcome to the fora, by the way.

Yay! The more exotic (belief), the better! I'm a Deist, spiritualist and humanist all rolled into one person

Welcome!!!!!
Don't be afraid of the word atheist--all it means is without belief in god(s)--which you claim to be.
I too believe in nature and such, but also disbelieve in a theistic conception of god. From my expereince there seems to be alot of hesitation attendant to the use of the word atheist as a means of self-reference. Perhaps this is due to the extreme stigmatation that the christian world has attached. Sometimes when I tell people that I am an atheist, I cannot believe the reaction. It is as if I told them I was murderer. Anyway don't let that stop you

Default Moon?

I think the moon is a figment of my imagination. Since you see it also, I must have a very powerful imagination (it projects!)

Thanks for the replies,

I had already written a reply this morning, but my computer decided to get offline before I could send it, so here another attempt.

The moon isn't much to some, but it holds strong memories to others, and regardless where you are, and under what conditions, ...., we , our ancestors , all classes and races have and had the moon. I can see it, it's there, others can see it too, ...., I can believe in it's existance, and it does have it's affects on nature and human kind.

As for the term "atheist", exnihilo
it seems to create the need of discussing evolution in the mind of theists.
As a non-believer people leave me in peace about religon and evolution, they accept that to me goodness comes from within.

Some need a god and his/her/its nasty threats and punishments to obey and attempt to act pure, others trust that what goes around comes around, something I have seen many times.

But I don't personally want to create the discussion of "theology" when interacting privately, for that consequently brings people to the source of my knowledge and not all life stories seem as real as they are, ......
but I appreciate your concern, and understand you quite well.

I do have some questions about Wicca and pagens, actually, but am not sure where to post them. But for now I still got to read two books on that, to reach a level of understanding that enables me to phrase my questions appropriately.

<--- look what I found

But it keeps disappearing all the time! All daytime, and during the month, and in the winter when you have clouds. The Sun is much more consistent. The Sun is the god (or goddess) of all the planets.
