Damn! Sorry guys - I went out drinking last night when I should have had my nose in the 1844 book.
From memory I think Ceres, Pallas, Vesta and Juno are indeed the "extra" four planets, and of course Pluto and Neptune are missing. |

Yep; confirmed - Ceres, Pallas, Vesta and Juno are the "extra" four planets. Although a footnote does say they are "known as asteroids".
