Lightbulb When the whole word finally wakes up and realizes whats gonna happen

One of the fastest(if not the fastest) growing religion is atheism which also has the least amount of conversions to other religons which will mean in many years from now it will be the last one standing, but after that happenes where does the human race go from there? Most wars, great arts, monuments, and inventions, where inspirtions from religion based on dietyies. Will the world fall into a slump or will all hell break lose since most people are only keep in order due to the fear of "judgement day"

Knowing the influence of religion on western society 1000 years ago, and its steady decline since then; I often wonder about the presence (if any) of religion a millennia from now.

Npower101,
What makes you think that current trends will necessarily continue?
As I understand it, religious belief has dropped to critical levels more than once over the past millenia, only to promptly recover again.

Yes, but Inquisitions and Crusades are passe' now. You can't really reinflate your numbers by torturing and killing infidels any more. (At least, not around here.) (At least, not yet.) ('A' for effort on that front, though.)

We all have our little TV remotes to show that science works, and the best we get from the Bible is pi rounded down to 3.

*sigh* Atheism is not a religion, just as baldness is not a hair color.

I don't see how you go from "least conversions" to it becoming totally dominant. There are other factors at play.

I would imagine pretty much the same as it is now, but without religion. Is that so hard to conceive?

There is correlation but no established causation. How will an atheistic/humanistic world lack wars, art, monuments, and (most bafflingly) inventions?

I somehow doubt it.

This is laughably stupid.

Guys, it is important to let all of you know that christinity and Islam is actually growing in the East especially China. They(theists) sure know how to find new victims and now, I'm disturbed by more and more Christians and muslims while my friends are joining them and there is nothing that I could do. *Sad.

If atheism predominates, wars will occur. If Christianity predominates, wars will occur. If humans fail to utterly annihalate themselves wars will occur.

If this is the case humanity is doomed, with or without religion. I am not so pessimistic myself.

Cool

Agreeing with Panta Pei's ID of this bad speller, Jobar drop-kicks his post into the appropriate receptacle
