First off Spin, it isn't Jonikins, it is Jonaxizatov The Reptoid Get it right, and Phear the reptoids.

Second, you're up to 9144 words posted in about 12hours and 40 minutes (give or take a few).

That' 9144 words in 760 minutes or about 12 words per minute. About 1 word every 5 seconds.

I hate to give career advice, but...

What I find curious is that it seems to be normally repugnant to eat meat from carnivors meat or even omnivores, yet we like to eat plenty of herbivore meat. Anyone care to explain this?

Also eating pets is a generally a big no no.

Mageth is right about surface area, but it is easier to talk about length which is closely related to surface area.

The information I posted talks about length - about how the "length of the human gut indicates we're herbivores" mantra is a myth, to be specific.

Jonnikins, you've found your niche. Took a while.

99percent:

From my experience, carnivore meat is quite sinewy and unpleasant. As for herbivore meat, we even further prefer animals that lead a fairly sedentary life. My guess is that some of the sinewyness of predatory animals comes from having more developed muscles needed to outrun/outfly prey.

As mentioned earlier, pigs, chickens and turkeys are omnivores. We eat them.

What kinds of animals are "repugnant" to eat is generally a cultural thing. Other cultures of the world relish snake, horse, dog and monkey meat, among others. In Texas, because of the history tied to cattle (and wars against sheepherders) mutton is hard to find, and at one time was culturally just about taboo. Cabra and cabrito (goat and kid) meat can be had at many authentic Mexican resaurants, however.

Further, Jon, wild herbivore meat (e.g. deer and range cattle) is much more "sinewy" and "gamey" (which makes it unpleasant to some) than cushy farm-raised meat.

Spin,

I am very impressed. Your addition of a 'cutsie' ending to my name has really put me down and hurt quite deeply. "Jonikins".. WOW! I've not been so put down, defamed, and cut down to size since I was in grade-school and someone said "Liar Liar pants on Fire" to me.

Mageth:

Although, upon further reflection, the tendancy to eat herbivores seems to apply primarily to terrestrial animals. A large portion of the seafood we eat are predators.

If you ever have occasion to be in a Japanese resaurant which serves Shark-fin and Jelly-fish salad, I highly reccomend it.

Perhaps I should call you:

Jonaxizatov The Reptoid

It is more suitable.

But why waste my fingers? I should cut the nikins of as well, hell, why not drop the name totally?
