My latest offering ~
Katharine vs Kathleen
My letter was a follow up to this ... with this blather still firmly entrenched in my mind. |

Very nice letter, my friend! :notworthy
It was refreshing to see two other letters below yours, one about references to god (PoA, money, etc.) and the other about the 10C, coming from your neck of the woods. (I spent about 7.5 months in Biloxi, Keesler actually, roughly 10 years ago) Keep up the good work! |

Jolly good, Ronin! I wonder whether you will get any sort of reply from the lady herself.

Very nice work. Too bad Kathleen doesn't have the class that Katherine had.

SoHy: Well, at least she's not quite as low class as Coulter
DMB: I seriously doubt Kathleen will ever directly address any voice of reason. She had a chatroom on her website at www.kparker.com that was inundated with atheists countering her editorial with living proof that her assertion was false. She shut it down permanently and never responded to any of the posts...Hey, I was able to find a way back in here if you're curious or otherwise interested. As it turns out, though it had slipped into the fog of history, it was actually that editorial and forum that introduced me to Rhea...who jacked me into the IIDB for the very first time. Shake: It wasn't like this until recently and I am glad to see that these types of efforts are opening up the public forum to a wider variety of views...especially for this region. I was working for the Biloxi PD from 91-93 and spent alot of time at the Sablich center. If you ever return to the area, Shake, be sure to drop by the Gulfport PD and look me up. |

Jewel: Thanks, my friend...I've been really impressed that I've not received any flaming fundy responses to my email...for the very first time.
I'm off to find Rhea to give her a huge cyber hug. |

I was one of those who posted on Parker's msg board............I was infuriated and went off on her in my English class after I'd read that.
Great letter Steve |

Excellent letter. I subscribe to the "Orlando Sentinel" and am constantly exposed to Parker's clap-trap as well as a number of other featured writers of similar mind set. Peter Brown John Bersia Benjamin Shapiro Jonah Goldberg In fairness, they do feature Myriam Marquez, and occasional pieces by David Broder, Thomas Friedman, Ruth Rosen, David Ignatius, and even Maureen Dowd and Ellen Goodman. The major, full featured, Sunday editorial piece was by Dr. Harold G. Koenig tauting the studues that indicate that body and soul health, as well as longer lives, are benefitted by religious beliefs, affiliations, spirituality and prayers. (No mention is made concerning how those latter items have shortened a good many lives and impacted on health throughout history. Naturally the death of Bill Bright, the founder of the Campus Crusade for Christ, with international headquarters in Orlando, has received as much, if not more print than that if Bob Hope. |

What a long strange trip...etc. Buffman: Knight-Ridder owns my local rag which is heavily influenced by godspeakers. No sweat, though, because I'm seeing more freethinkers writing in now more than ever. I work under the concept that...a mind, once expanded, never returns to its original size. |
