No marriage in Heaven?
One thing that has bothered me about the Christian religion is that there is to be no marriage in Heaven. At least, this is what I am led to believe my many religious people (I haven't looked in the Bible to receive verification).
If this is so, what's the deal: is a married couple, who have lived together their whole life and loved each other, suddenly expected to separate their bond? It can be argued that a said couple can still love each other, but they can no longer have an official bonding. Why must this be the case? Additionally, does that mean that there is no sex in Heaven, as well? I can't see how a lot of couples would be happy with that. |

How do you "be together" if not in a romantic way? Do you go bowling or have lunch, but never touch, kiss or talk intimately together? If I was married to someone I loved very much, but I had this boring, neutered, pale shell of a marriage to look forward to for all eternity, I think that would be more hell than heaven. |

Why, it's perfectly logical. Heaven being the single perfect place to be, everybody is completely equal. There would be absolutely no distinction between class, race, gender, purpose or even person; One soul would be a drop inside a seething ocean of anonymity.
Except for God, of course, who would be above all others. |

My personal opinion is that there is a whole bunch of sex going on in heaven. More than any of us could handle.
After all, heaven is supposed to be heaven after all. (of course, I have very unusual theories) I bet I could find some reference to great orgasms in heaven if I searched the Bible hard enough and read into it as much as Fundies are wont to do. You can find almost anything you want to in the Bible to justify almost anything, if you work at it. |
