Post Pharaoh’s Chariots Found on Floor of the Red Sea?

This is the first time I've <a href="http://www.christianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9516" target="_blank">heard of this</a>.
Quote:
Proof of the miracle that God parted the waters of the Red Sea for the children of Israel still lies on the floor of the sea bed to this very day. Recently, Dr. Leonart Möller of Stockholm, Sweden, led a team to the Gulf of Aqaba with an underwater television camera and recorded dozens of chariot wheels – many still attached to axles and hubs.

The site of the crossing is eight miles from one shore to the other, and is the only place where an ancient river bed has dumped enough sand into the Gulf of Aqaba to provide a shallow sandy point of crossing – an easy walk for both the young and elderly. Very little coral grows in the area. Just to the north and south of the crossing site, the bottom of the gulf drops off to a steep one thousand feet deep canyon.

Almost all of the chariot wheels and axles are encrusted with coral, thus preserving their shapes from 3,400 years ago – long after the wood has decayed away. Only the metal alloys and the coral remains. But at least one chariot wheel, believed to contain silver (a metal to which no coral would attach) still remains on the floor. It was captured on video by the underwater camera.

This excursion to the bottom of the Red Sea is available in the video documentary, The Exodus Revealed.

What do guys make of this? My skeptic's sense is tingling...

Thumbs down

This remarkable journey of discovery will reveal stunning confirmation for the Exodus, including: the route the Israelites followed to the shores of the Red Sea, coral encrusted artifacts possibly from the chariots of Pharaoh's 18th dynasty army, and the true location of the holy mountain of God.

Here's the source, I believe:

<a href="http://www.wyattmuseum.com/" target="_blank">Ron Wyatt</a>

IIRC, not exactly a respected archaeologist.

Here's one claim about Ron Wyatt, who died in 1999:

"One of his more recent excavations led him to find the 'Ark of the Covenant' which is linked to actual site of the Crucifixion of Jesus. This included finding dried blood which when tested, was like no other blood ever found before on this earth. "

Your search - "Leonart Möller" - did not match any documents.
Must be <a href="http://www.discover.com/science_news/fool/fool97.html" target="_blank">Oskar Todkopf</a>'s cousin.

I think it's "Leonard", not "Leonart".

Wasn't Ron Wyatt one of those nutters who claimed to have found Noah's ark on Mount Ararat?

If it's the same guy, he probably found a few old Arab bicycles.

Red face

He didn't claim to "find" things, he claimed they were "revealed" to him.
