Wink Breath a sigh of relief

because, according to <a href="http://www.chalcedon.edu/report/2002aug/johnson.shtml" target="_blank">this article,</a> economic turnaround is finally possible!

Who needs Alan Greenspan when all we need to do is

Quote:
individually repent and continually pray for cultural repentance at all levels, engage in our own economic activity and political action, educate our neighbors and future generations, and pray that God's rock will once again become the salt and light in our economy.

To restate the directive:

1. Beg for assistance.
2. Get to work.
3. Work in the salt mines.

Oh man...

The state must return to a true and Biblical free market economy in philosophy as well as practice. ... This means ending all business regulatory practices and privatizating all industries (i.e., banking, currency, transportation, education, and retirement benefits). ... After removing all of our unbiblical regulatory law, we must replace it with Biblical contract law. ... Unbiblical government financing must be eliminated, whether it is the graduated income, excise, property, death, unemployment, worker's compensation, Medicare, Social Security, or capital gains taxes, as well as debt financing and theft through inflation. ...
It's absolutely amazing to learn that the Bible is so detailed and specific about privatization, the banking system, capital gains tax, Medicare, worker's compensation, business regulatory policy ... oh wait, how silly of me. It just dawned on me that the Bible says nothing about business regulatory policy, so any regulation must be unbiblical. How short sighted of me to have missed that all this time!

Exodus 22:25 seemingly forbids charging interest on loans.

Deuteronomy 24:6 forbids demanding excessive collaterial for loans.

I'm sure that one can find other examples of regulation of business in the Bible.

I'm sure you didn't need a bible to tell you that.
