Uh, you lost me. How is it a negative for anyone to have read one book prior to another, whether the accusation is true or false? I don't see how this is a "negative stereotype." Can you explain?

Of course, I am assuming (forgive me) that you read the Bible before becoming a Christian. That may be an unwarranted assumption, I'll grant, but I think it unlikely that you would contradict me.

The freethinking filter for the Qur'an:

1)Is there evidence for the things described? No.
2)Is it free of error in scientific matters? No.
3)Are there internal contradictions? Yes.
4)Is it a moral guide you would like to follow? No.

Answers to questions

1)Yes. The Dead Sea Scrolls and Apochrypha as well as Science and History provide ample evidence.
2)Yes. No Scientific errors. Shoddy English Translations. The Arabic Qur'an has been confirmed valid by prominent scientist/surgeon Maurice Bucaille...leading Embryologist Keith Moore and countless more.
3) No internal contradictions. i.e Missionaries often state that the Qur'an states that the Bible is True. And they use this piece of knowledge to undermine the Qur'an. However , the Qur'an does not mention the Bible. It mentions a Scripture called "
Injeel".
4) It is a Moral Guide for 1.6 billion people whose adherents are growing at a speed 22x faster than any other religion.

I am not here to Debate. This topic spawned out of ignorance. And thus it should be left ignored.

Although my discussion about the Koran has been limited to the things River initially stated about the Koran, islam and the bible

I've listed some of the scientific errors of the koran elsewhere. There are plenty more I did not list. That also applies to a lack of evidence since the things it describes scientifically do not occur. There are numerous contradictions of which I have spoken to many muslims that I am acquainted with. Is it a moral guide? Oh please. There are many things about it I find personally objectionable.
Do you want River to disprove your Scientific arguments once again. Listen , you dont even know arabic. How do you even verify a contradiction? I'm sorry but you gave up on the Qur'an prematurely. When your Messiah, Jesus Christ descends he will Judge you by the Criterion , Al-Furqan or Qur'an. There is not that many years left before the 2nd coming. If I were you I would make sure I'm fighting for the right side.

Then why have you responded twice to this thread that should be "ignored"? To get in yet another "my cult rox, yours sux" jab?

You believe Jesus is the Son of God? That God is a Trinity? That salvation is by faith in Jesus and not by works? Or do you believe Jesus was a prophet of God only, and that God is a unity, and that salvation is by performing Allah's commandments as written in the Qur'an?
