Yeah, my wife used to look distinctly underage. She couldn't stop and look without security trying to throw her out. To make it worse she has never liked carrying things and normally would not have ID on her. (Since she doesn't drive she doesn't have to carry her license like most people do.)

I think 10 is awfully young to be babysitting a 3 yr old at that hour. Guess it depends on the 10 yr old. I stayed home alone in the afternoons from 3-5 when my Mom got home, but never at night.

I don't mean to jumpt to conclusions thats why I listed my questions...it just seems like too many "wrong" things came together bringing aboout the tragedy...absent parents, sociopathic teens, a bad shady money deal and this level of retaliation...its like a movie.

Death penalty. Great. What if they are actually not the culprits?

Somebody confessed and told the police where they discarded the murder weapons and bloody clothing...from what I understand the police are recovering the knives

A neighbor saw the car leaving the scene which is how the cops found them several hours later in another state.

They had been ejected from the Casino after a physical altercation with the mother and boyfriend 10 minutes or so before the murders.

The 10 yr old described the attack

Pretty open and shut case IMO

Over here, it's the law to have someone at least 14 years of age to babysit young'uns.

Parents who leave their kids home alone without someone who is at least that age, may (will) be prosecuted.

Nonetheless, the possibility of innocence always exists.

Always.

To use an irreversible punishment in a system where innocence is even marginally possible is both stupid and sick. As far as I am concerned, the death penalty is an equal crim as it would be to kill these culprits as a vigilante. Thats murder. Another one.

Could you give me a scenario where they could be innocent given the current evidence?

They were framed. they confessed because of threats to their family. The evidence is fake.

Its waaay out there, I know. The point is that the death penalty is insane in ANY case where guilt can not be established to utter 100% certainty. We can't even establish our own existence with that kind of certainty.

I wonder: is there anyone from a country that does not have the death penalty, that supports it?
