I AM an infidel!
Hey! Since we Westerners are generally considered 'infidels' by Islam, and atheists are considered 'infidels' by Xians, then those of us atheist Westerners here on INFIDELS.ORG must be the Ultimate Infidels!!!

Woah this guy is so misinformed. He calls Nietszche the father of Fascism when this is clearly false. In fact Nietszche's philosophies are probably the farthest thing from Fascism. He also speaks of "Social Darwinism". This is ironic because Darwin himself was disgusted by the genocide in Tanzania(I think it was Tanzania, correct me if I'm wrong). Also Robespierre was not an Athiest, in fact he established a Deistical cult.

Funny, i never thought that a Universe with a begining conflicted with being athiest/agnostic. Since, as appears to be the case, the begining of the Universe is beyond empirical evidence we can't say anything definitive about it. If this moron asked my what I thought caused the Big Bang all I could tell him is that I DON'T KNOW AND HE DOESN'T EITHER! If you make ANY claim about what started the Big Bang (like that God did it) then you are making it entirely on faith. As an agnostic I don't take things on faith. I need evidence. The universe doesn't appear ordered under the laws of physic. Random chance reins from the weather to the formation of solar systems. There are so many variables in these things that dumb luck plays a factor in turning them out the way they do.

And as for his "refutation" of evolution...
<img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />
Same old creationist agruements: "missing" transitional forms, life CAN'T form from organic chemicals, etc.

One last thing, surveys over the years have shown that the number of non-religious persons in developed nations countinues to increase. Indeed, compare polls from 1990 and 2000 in the US show that the number of non-religious Americans DOUBLED. This flies in the face of this idiots claims that athiesm is doomed. In fact it seems that RELIGION may be the one that's doomed. As people become more educated and well off and as science advance our knowledge of the Universe we live in, people seem less inclined to believe in supernatural beings.

Is Gorbachev actually an atheist, as the author states?

But , as a Brit, I am not too sure that the claim that the American Revolution was peaceful is correct.

Assuming that we never lost any battles (because there were no battles), would you mind handing America back please?
