'course, it appears that Bell has gone to a subscription service for his audio archives . I used to listen to those archives sometimes, when I couldn't stay up for a night's broadcast . Ah, well ... I hadn't listened in a while, anyway. My "Art Bell" days have been behind me for some time, and it was just a bit of fun ...

Writer@Large – “Now, now, cut Art a little slack; there's always a hint of skeptic in his show (just a hint, mind you).”
Very true. Every so often Art calls out his guests on their most outrageous claims. While I haven’t made a study of the occurrences I suspect that Art really does posses a bulls**t meter (albeit one with a high threshold). Nice email you sent Writer@Large. I have sent emails to some of the guest hosts praising them after having particularly good guests (Christine el-Mahdy, Egyptologist was one such guest). My interest in Art Bell’s program stems from my poor sleeping habits and my fascination with the delusional. |

One person actually went through the trouble of debunking what Hovind said in a previous appearance <a href="http://home.austarnet.com.au/stear/hovind_fractured_fairy_tales.htm" target="_blank">here</a>.
