Lol, Radorth contradicts history yet again.

Radorth: "if god didn't rule us, tyrants would."

And why did so many flee Europe for America?

To escape the tyranny of kings and monarchies who believed that God gave them their authority, just as God gave fathers absolute authority (read: tyrannical) over their children.

And what is it with all the Christians who constantly claim that atheists "worship themselves?" It's not true. I certainly don't worship myself.

WHAT HAS ALL THIS ACCOMPLISHED RADORTH???
I don't know, but a lot of people seem interested in replying to nothing.

To see what De Toqueville was raving about? To see what the meek, given a vote, would do with the earth? To see what Locke and Hooker had envisioned? To worship God "in spirit and in truth"?

"Rad"

Forget it Buffman. My rule is to take quotes pretty much at face value unless they sound really fishy or are very short or have ellipses around them.

That's hilarious! Thanks for the laugh. OK! I'll forget trying to get anything accurate out of you. Thanks for elaborating the obvious. I hope you have a Merry Solstice and a Happy Gregorian New Year.

Radorth: To see what De Toqueville was raving about?

LOL. That would have been rather hard for the first settlers of America, and those who came during its founding years.

Let's see if you know the reason why without being told.

Oh, and Radorth...since you missed it the first time:

True or false: "The Constitution defines the government of the United States of America."

Either you didn't understand me or you're avoiding the issue (/me feigns surprise), Radorth. Do you know why it would have been hard for the early settlers of America to want to "come see what De Tocqueville" was talking about?

And I'm sorry, Radorth, but that, too, does not define the American government, nor does it make America a Christian nation.
