To a catholic it may be a happy song, but to this savage tribal heathen it is merely another dark dirge usurping the values and traditions of my ancestral culture. Perhaps you should go sing some happy protestant tunes in order to find the proper frame of mind. Quote:
Beyond that, Amos, the protestant theology is just another strain. |

It appears that we all might just have one or two issues to which we are hypersensitive. PS ~ bonus points for actually using 'lucidity of Amos' positively in a single sentence...he is definitely 'touched'. |

Once we transit from theorical opinions to experience we do become more sensitive to comments made from a theorical point of view. Amos' thoughts cannot be compared to my mother's dereliction. Too often comments are used to evaluate one participant or the other as a mentaly ill person. But mental illness is a cruel reality. Once we have lived it and watched the destructive effects it has on an indvidual who cannot be rescued from that distress, the gratuitous intent to insult someone by using the mental illness route becomes very personal. I just do not settle for those comments with a smile. |

Because you do not think that the Catholic religion is beautiful and natural only means that you must find yourself in this 'new land' wherein all of us are sojourners and tie this down with the land of your birth-- which is what I called the Alpha earlier in this tread. In other words, you must find yourself and then you will be happy to sing the Ave Maria who is from the place of your birth (sic)-- or we would not have Mary's from every race and color. |

It decays just as many of other nonsensical myths have decayed and will soon take it’s treasure place in the junk heap of tired, baseless and useless conditions. |

Is it too much to hope that your use of italics will also pass?
