Universe might yet collapse in big crunch
Other articles I'd read made me think the case for eternal expansion was close to settled, but this one suggests it's still up in the air whether the universe will expand forever or collapse:

That's odd. I never heard that the cosmological constant would decrease over time - but rather get bigger as the more empty space you have, the more effects of this dark energy.
I guess it all depends on finding out exactly what this dark energy is. |

Judging by my partner’s sock drawer and armchair recesses (she has 2 ankle biters), easily ample material to generate The Big Crunch.
Is it just me, or should the “exceedingly speculative” paragraph come at the start of these articles rather than the end ? |
