Thumbs down Angel nonsense on Larry King Live

Larry King just spent the last hour talking with several religious figures, a psychic (Sylvia Browne), and a crippled young boy about "angels" and how they allegedly affect our lives. Needless to say, the discussion was completely ridiculous and devoid of any logic or critical thinking. It was amazing (and a bit sad) to see how so many people hold these kinds of bizarre, unsubstantiated beliefs.

Did anyone else here happen to see the program?

I watched a few minutes of it. It was creepy to see these people talking about these creatures like they were real. How do they get away with it without becoming the laughing-stock of America? Is the general TV viewing public buying this stuff?

It's too bad about that kid too. He seemed too damned smart to be wrapped up in this angel crap.

Edit: And, man, what one sidedness. Not one single call questioning them. Larry did throw out a few mild challenges, but all in all it was utter bullshit.

I wonder if either no skeptics called in or if they simply chose not to air their questions...

I walked into a room where it was playing, heard the psycho say that all religions accept the idea of angels, and, faced with the choice of either leaving, vomiting, or both, elected to leave.
