Default Boulder/Denver Infidels... Friday, Feb 21

Hey, fellow Colorado infidels... my band, ToyBox, has been restructuring itself from a foursome to a trio. Anyhow, this week I kind of stumbled upon a gig in Boulder. There's a neat little place called The Library Pub. It's a pub, as its name suggests, but it's got couhces and confy chairs as well as bar stools, a shelf full of board games as well as pool and foozball, etc.

Anyhow, they've been looking for bands to play there lately, so I dropped in this week. The owner said that the band he had booked for Feb 21 just backed out on him, and he was scrambling to get a replacement. So even though we're not quite ready for prime-time yet, we agreed to play on that date, to help him out a bit and hopefully get some repeat shows there.

Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to come see me play!!! We could use a bunch of support, plus it would be nice to see y'all again! The details are: The Library Pub, 1718 Broadway (near Arapahoe), Friday, Feb 21, 9:00-ish. There may be a cover, I'm not sure.

Talking dag!

Is your band an "atheist" band?

Alas, I am visiting my girlfriend in NY on the 21st. Bad timing! Good luck with your gig, though.

Default A List

Since Boulder establishments can be so terribly snobbish and exclusive - make sure you give the bouncer an 'A list'!

As for the Four becoming Three- Please tell us it was not another C.S.N.&Y. nightmare...

Now, as for the cover...

If I bring My Boyfriend, can I get in free?

Oh, man, you're girlfriend can wait an extra week, can't she?

Just kidding... maybe next time.

As far as it being an atheist band... well, I'm an atheist. The other guitarist, I'm not sure about. He's somewhere between fairly disinterested in religion, and atheist. Our drummer is definitely Christian, very committed to going to church and all. But, he did say that he is quitting the church choir, and resigning as the church musical group's drummer, in order to spend more time working on this band! So c'mon guys, support the band, and you'll maybe be helping him to see the light!

Ah, this place is far from snobbish.

If you actually show up with your boyfriend, I will pay your cover and buy you (and "J") a pitcher of beer!

Hey, Feb 21 is the last day of finals week - and thus the start of spring break for me!

Can I bring some med students? That would be fun...

Okay, I'll be there. Anyone who wants a ride, let me know! Scigirl, Kosh, TomboyMom-- I'll be glad to drive you all up there in my mom-mobile. I promise to clean it first.
