Post A fun little something that popped up on a page (regarding "under God" stuff)

I was reading an amusing article about how the evil Roger Ebert ( ) criticized the down-to-Earth movie site, Capalert, when the following popped up:

http://www.conservativepetitions.com/petition.html?name=save

Text is a bit large to post, so I'll just leave the link. It's too bad that people have no conception of the principles that this country was founded on and those who created them.

BTW, to those interested in the Roger Ebert article, it can be found at:

Tell your senators to break this unjust and unholy blockade and let President George W. Bush know you wholeheartedly support a declaration of independence from the ungodly plot to deny our conservative, Christian heritage.

EVIL ATHEIST CONSPIRACY!

Heh, when I saw that text blurb, I read:

Tell your senators to break this unjust and unholy blockade and let President George W. Bush know you wholeheartedly support a declaration of independence from the ungodly plot to deny our conservative, misogynist, homophobic, racist, slave-holding, pro-censorship, pro-hanging, anti-public education, anti-medical studies on corpses, anti-labor law,Christian heritage.

Did I leave anything out?

Opps!

Forgot to change 'Christian heritage' to 'Warrior God Cult splinter of Sky Deity Worship heritage'.

Ahh as I read that another argument againts the one stating that the founding fathers were theists poped into my head. Most founding fathers were slave holders, yet we do not suport that as a socciety... I would not be surprised to have the Christian Right suport slavery though

Of course they'd support it. It's the basis for their entire worldview. Slavery is at the heart of the Fundamentalist Christian creed.
