Default Hypnotized by a ball and chain

I wonder if the intent of the swinging incense ball at a Catholic gathering is mass hypnotism. When a sentient being has been hypnotized into thinking that it is a worthless life form and there is only one key to unlock the door of guilt how could the hypnotized sentient being disclaim or proclaim any thing that is or was scribed in the sentient beings absence from reality.

I am an excatholic and I do know many catholics who find the ceremonial aspects critical. The statues, icons, candles, incense, costumes, ceremony all evolved because people found them important to the religious experience. Those who convert to catholicism seem to be attracted to the ceremonial the most in my experience. I can't say I know anyone who was hypnotized per se but it may be a type of self-hypnosis.

I always like seeing the word evolved and religious experience in the same sentence.

I consider myself as being on the other side of the needle eye occasionally glancing back at those that choose to remain in the quagmire of religious deceit.

It could also be a metaphor for the most holy of sacraments, marriage.
