Question Why are some of you guys, for lack of a better word, pricks?

I don't mean to starts a fight on this, just an observation. (Which, I am sure, most of you can appreciate)

First of all, lets get what I believe out of the way. I am a born again Christian. There...whew...

I have been frequenting this forum for about a year now, but never registered. Just reading. I have noticed something which, quite frankly, is kind of disturbing.

I have watched the back and forth action between the atheist 'side' and the theist 'side', and there are a couple of things that I find to be consistent. First of all, I can say that there are a lot of inteligent minds here, and a great wealth of knowledge to be had. Kudos to all who post, because some of the conversations are dizzying, and always interesting to read.

I understand the frustration that atheists of the forum feel, when dealing with trying to get their points across (I see this ---&gt; <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> quite often), but the question needs to be asked...

Why do (some of) you feel the need to be sarcastic, belittling, and generally rude to theists here, no matter how well disguised by big words and explanations?

I mean, there are times where I am taken back by some of the comments. As I said, I can understand the frustration, but quite frankly, some of you are straight up a$$es. I would say that the blame can go both ways, as I am sure it does, but I can also honestly say that I have not yet seen a theist here, so full of venom.

Just an observation guys, but I figured you would hold yourselvs to a higher standard.

Again, I must comment; there is lots of interesting reading here, and eventually, I may ask a question, to further understand the thinking from the 'other side'

Carry on, but bear in mind, if you care, there are lots of lurkers here that just read...

Question

Can you provide any examples of "prickish" behavior?
