Anyone hear Pat Robertson's comments about the fossil on the 700 Club/CBN "News" last night? He claimed it had been proved to be "just a female gorilla" and compared it to Piltdown Man!

Look, it's real simple. These people have a business to run. They're business is selling Christianity and ll the baggage that goes along with it. Science (and critical thinking) is a threat to their business model. So they will naturally do anything they can to try and dissuade you from "the other side". No different than Microsoft. They know their products are the worst piece of crap, but they still have to lie about it to sell.

Why, for the quillionth time, do Christian organizations feel they have a monopoly on the word "family"?

I saw a rather disturbing editorial cartoon in the paper today. it was a few panals long, it went something like this:
On top it said "Science is always right, isn't it?" [which, by the way science NEVER claims to be 100% right]. In one panal it says something like "eggs are bad for you" in the next panal it says something like "No, wait they're good for you" then the next panal says "hormone therapy is good" the next panal says "oh wait, no it might be bad for you" and the last panal says "Humans evolved from monkeys" The ignorance of this cartoon was horrible. |
