Default Lame creationist poster -

Absolutely hilarious! Hard to read in this image but they have some of the stupidest creationism arguements I have ever heard (like there were any smart ones );

* relating the spin of uranus and venus to the big bang
* wondering why the arms of spiral galaxies have not wound themselves tightly around the nucleus if the universe is old (haven't heard that one for a long long time).
*Trying to pass of - what I think is a Mayan or Peruvian - skull that is obviously the product of body modification, as a Neanderthal (how dishonest of them God fearing bible thumpers)

The sad thing is many kids in "christian" schools or homeschooled kids are probably being taught this kind of crap.

Anyone who just has to have his own copy can purchase one from drdino (Item #741) for $16.50 for one and $24.0 for two (plus $5.00 shipping).

Or you can go to http://creationposter.com and read all of this convincing evidence and buy one there for $17.95.

For example, you will learn that Neandertal Man didn't live millions of years ago. You will also learn that the cave art in the Lascaux cave that has been dated to 17,000 years and less was done by Neandertals.

Well in that one claim they would be right. The Neandertals appeared only few hundred thousand years ago.

Those poopheads talk about how the "canals on Mars" were formed. When was the last time you heard that expression? 1971?

Unhappy

it's truly pathetic and frighteningly sad that some children are being taught this garbage. to think that a book written by ignorant bronze age sheepherders and a sequel book written by ignorant bronze age mediterranean idiots could still have any influence over today's modern, progressive world...... *sigh* oh, well......

happyboy, glad to see that creationism is getting a newer, slicker look

Oh, my, god....

Reading this thing... it hurts...

Quote:
Theory: If the stars are millions of light years, and humans can see them flicker in the night sky, then the universe imust be very old.

New Facts:
Not enough time has elapsed for light traveling 186,282 miles per second to have traversed the entire universe. Yet light has travsersed the entire spance of the cosmos, meaning light has traveled faster than the known speed of light at some time in the past. Researchers estimate light may have traveled 10___ times faster at the begining of the universe, this means the universe is smaller and younger than most scientists believe.
Quote:
If the universe began with a "big bang" then all planets would spin in the same direction, yet uranus and venus do not.
Most of the rest of it is too hard to read... maybe I'm better off not knowing... just the few I can read makes me want to put my head in the oven... :banghead:

It is amazing that people can be that stupid. I wonder how they manage to find their ass when it comes time to wipe it. No wonder they don't believe in natural selection - they appear to be walking evidence against it.

Angry

is it that hard to believe such utter morons blight the earth with their presence? stupidity and the blind refusal to see the truth, when it's staring you in the face, is a common human trait.

science kills religion with it's merest touch, yet theists continue to believe.

a very disgusted happyboy

I love the citations they give for their evidence!

Quote:
Life on Mars?
No evidence of life on Mars or anywhere else in the Universe. Canals on Mars do not necessarily indicate water is on Mars. Canals may be created by jets of carbon dioxide.
Wired News October 12, 2000 NASA American Research Center
Rare Earth, Peter D. Ward, Donald Brownlee, Copernicus Books, 2000
Here is a snippet from the Wired News article they mention.
Quote:
"The possibility we've been entertaining is that liquid carbon dioxide may have caused many of the fluting features," he told the Physics and Biology of Making Mars Habitable conference Tuesday.

"Liquid carbon dioxide plays some role in the formation of these features on the surface," added Haberle, an expert in Mars' atmosphere who is based at Ames.

And here, just for some comic relief, is another article in the SAME day from Wired News (talk about selective referencing):

Quote:
Life's Origin In New Meteorite?

Associated Press

03:40 PM Oct. 12, 2000 PT

WASHINGTON -- In a search for new clues about the origin of life, researchers worldwide are analyzing bits of a bus-sized meteorite that blazed to Earth last January in a spectacular fireball, giving science the most pristine primordial matter ever recovered.
