Depends what you mean by materialist. I like stuff, but I once escaped from a house fire with nothing but my life and health (oh yeah, and my pajamas too) and realized that as long as you have those (life and health that is, pajamas not so essential) nothing else matters much.

Atheist, definitely.

non-materialists believe in things such as a dimension of ideas where all ideas (like numbers) exist eternally independent of the existance of the physical world... or a parallel dimension that is where our "observer" (or soul) exists - which might passively observe (epiphenomenalism) or control our brains... or they might think everything exists inside the mind of God...

Is it just because you believe in some kind of eternally existing world of ideas or "forms"?
I think that ideas only exist for as long as they exist (in a brain, etc) in the physical world. I don't think specific unknown abstract things exist at all.
