Default Bright?

Something in the paper today about a new name for the conglomeration of humanists--------atheists and agnostics and non-thiests of all kinds and descriptions.

The new name is "Brights." Supposed to be a more positive name for non-theists.

So if asked if you are a believer, you can say "No, I am a Bright"--------and there will be supposedly fewer negative connotations and fewer unnecessary confrontations.

Anyone heard of this movement? What do you think about it?

Rational BAC, there have been many threads on this subject in Secular Lifestyle. See, for instance:

The Brights! A new classification.
Dennett - Brights & Politics
The Unifiers or the Brights?

I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread. Feel free to participate in any of the other discussions.

Thank you,
