Post Bush

Would anyone happen to know George W. Bush's stance on creationism? Tell me he's not one. I heard him describe human life as a "creation, not a commodity" today, and it frightened me beyond belief.

I think I can safely say that Bush has been told that he is a Young Earth Creationist. And our good Bushie always does as he's told...

Take your pick:

What Bush said:

Quote:
Texas Gov. George W. Bush, the Republican front-runner, has more directly endorsed the teaching of creationism, using language familiar to the rejuvenated religious movement. "I believe children ought to be exposed to different theories about how the world started," Bush said at a campaign appearance last week in New Orleans.

"He [Bush] believes both creationism and evolution ought to be taught," his spokeswoman Mindy Tucker elaborated to Reuters. "He believes it is a question for states and local school boards to decide but believes both ought to be taught."

Or what the evidence clearly shows:

During the campaign Dubya made a comment that the "jury is still out" on the question of evolution.

Also consider that one of his early speaches was given at Bob Jones University.

Our president is a scientific illiterate. And just look at what he appointed as Attorney General!

Ah, Bush-bashing. It's like sandblasting a soda cracker

I think the question was answered. Off to the Politics forum.
