Default More God Spam!

Yep, looks like SARS is a sign of the end times... (just like AIDS was and the black death... )

And the world economy doing badly is a sign too... despite the fact that the economy is a cyclical thing and this stuff is to be expected... (next the fact that its summer will be a sign of the end times!!)

And all in the cause of pushing this good christians book, i guess he needs more ivory backscratchers! making money off of others fear and ignorance is such a hard thing to do ya know!

I'm waiting for the brutally honest adverts which say something akin to "It's the End Times™ because it just has to be!"

I don't get these people, there will never be a one world government (unless there are a whole hell of a lot of very gradual changes). People are just far too incompatible. Could the UN really be such a precursor? Especially when countries like the US (and britain, etc.) can just brush it aside? That doesn't make any sense at all.

Perhaps the antichrist is alive, but when you pinpoint him it's simply the real antichrist deceiving you .

And finally, wtf? Yes, ATMs and bank stuff is leading into the mark of the beast, those discover 2go cards were the last straw, convenience=evil.

That was funny though...

It's amazing what qualifies for signs of the end times nowadays. SARS and AIDS pale in comparison to the Black Death, IIRC. Wouldn't a disease need to wipe out at least a billion people to outdo The Plague™ (on a 'percentage of the world population killed' basis)?

That's the great part about End Times™ prophecies and predictions - they don't have to make sense!! They just have to make religious people afraid, so they'll buy the latest "How to survive the Tribulation on $5 a day" and "How to make the Rapture and get firmer abs in 4 minutes a day" products.

Pretty much. In the mid-fourteenth century the Black Death wiped out a third of Europe's population or 25 million people. And it took only about 5 or 6 years to do it.

Last I heard, the AIDS Death toll is about 16 million over roughly 20 years. SARS has killed less than 1000 people.

It is obvious that the "end times" happened in the 14th century. Nothing really comparable since. That century really sucked.

There have been many other "end times" since, but in reality, we got it pretty easy today. This is a relatively easy "end time". Kind of cushy actually, at least for those of us in the good old US of A.

There is something in the Bible about "you will never really know when". And that is certainly true. All anyone can do at any time in history ---is the best they can. and, of course, you have to watch your back.

This LaHaye guys is apparently a Doctor. Where do guys like this get their Doctor title from?? Surely not from Berkeley I would think.
Can nothing be done to prevent the devaluation of the Doctorate??
I mean a graduate who does his Doctorate, and gets his title in a real subject after a lot of hard work must surely be p...d-off by this kind of colleagues I would think.
