Sure thing boss. Here it is:

http://fp.bio.utk.edu/wisdom/Essays/...lfish_gene.htm

It looks like Dawkins is starting to capitulate a bit on this subject since the evidence is against gene selection on its own.

I doubt that he has capitualted on his stance against punctuated equilibrium though. I also find myself disagreeing with him on that a bit lately. We started covering macro-mutations and evo-devo in bio... some pretty cool stuff.

DAwkins is a bit of a pioneer in the field. As such, he's going to be off on occasion.

You gotta admit, he explains things so that even the laymen understand.

Thou shalt not use the name of the Dawkins in vain!

This article of piggsy's is the first refutation of gene centrism I've read that actually makes sense.

Scientific restructuring of views, opinions and hypotheses is now underway in my busy little mind. I imagine I'll emerge on the other side with a modified version of the three-criterion selection unit that I'm so fond of.

You'll have to read some Oyama next, then. Pigliucci's article is close to developmental systems theory...a bit more of a nudge and maybe you'll be embracing structuralism/interactionism/constructionism, too.
