Default Tori Amos, Sexual Lyrics and Demonic Influence

I am a huge Tori Amos fan. I went to see her in concert the 20th in San Francisco and as usual, had a great time as I sat there listening to her irreverant song lyrics.

In chat, someone posted this link Latest Darkness on Disk, Tori Amos

Besides going out of his way to point out how sexually explicit Tori's lyris are (hehe...they are great), he pounds her for her criticism of God and Jesus.

Here is one quote of 'proof' of demonic influnece

Quote:
What is also interesting to me is the fact that her keyboard talent seems to be something that she had very early in her life. But could that musical ability have come from another source other than the God she mocks? Let us now look into that possibility.
The story goes at the age of 2 1/2 years Ellen (Tori) climbed up on the piano bench and began to tinker with the keys of the old black upright piano in the living room of the Amos household. By the age of 4 she was stunning her local audience by playing classical.

But from what we are about to discover this 4-year-old was not your average child. The RS article sheds some rather revealing light on the possibility of demonic influence in Ellen's earliest childhood. We read:

"As a 2 1/2 year-old, Amos climbed onto the seat of the black upright in the family living room and began playing. The instrument quickly became the center of her self-image. To a 6-year-old who teased Amos about her age, the 4-year-old Amos replied 'F___ you. I can play Mozart'."

Now I ask you, is this the kind of language which usually emanates from the mind and mouth of a 4-year-old, or does it sound like the verbal vociferation of a foul prince of the demonic realm?

I love Tori for her irreverance. It is no wonder this guy is hopping mad. All, in all, this guy gave me a terrific laugh and I just wanted to share.

I will leave you with some quotes from Tori

Quote:
[T.A.] "I'm not interested in anybody on this planet who wants to scare me into thinking my soul is in jeopardy. It absolutely has no effect on me. I have no fears about where I'm going after this. I'm kind of nervous about what I'm doing next week, but I'm not really nervous about leaving the planet..."
Quote:
[T.A.] "I can't have discussions about it anymore, I just can't. When someone asks me if I've found Jesus, I say, 'Yeah, I saw him at a Nirvana concert a couple of years ago.' It's like, Jesus has got things to do, he's got a ten o'clock. He's not going to fix things for me, I have to fix things for myself, so I try and have a sense of humor about it and nobody finds my humor very amusing. We've got to lighten up on the Savior bit, folks. You know, get off the cross, we need the wood."

I don't remember the song but I always remember the phrase,

Where are those angels when you need them?

There're so many situations where it's the right thing to say.

These are the same breed of people who claim Harry Potter teaches genuine Satan-inspired magic to children. They are the ones who have taken Pascal's Wager, and ran with it. And anything that upsets their individual paradigms is fair game for wishful damnation.

Tori with an onion necklace is one of my most sacred images.

They're the ones who think that Harry Potter is real.

I know that this is somewhat off topic, but if you go to the homepage of this lightwarriors sight where this article is hosted, you can find the following:

If you are a New Age believer, a Satanist, a Witch, a Christian, a Hindu, a Moslem, a Roman Catholic, a Buddhist, a Jew, even an atheist or anything else for that matter...you are welcome here.
Note “even an atheist”. I guess atheists are even more vile than Satanists and Witches.

As for her using the F-bomb at age four, well I can testify that my sweet four year -old daughter did exactly the same thing. I can't imagine where she could have picked it up

I'm a huge Tori Amos fan too, much to the distress of my parents. When Boys For Pele came out, I had to hide the little booklet thingie that came with the CD, so my parents couldn't read the lyrics .

Is it ok for a man to be Tori Amos fan?

I'm Shadowy, if that counts for anything.

Saw her in concert a few years ago in Baltimore at the Lyric Opera House. Awesome show. :notworthy

<Sigh> Mine too. Dad has a foul mouth; his sole vice.
