I think two men together can be very erotic. I find something very annoying about the idea than men are ugly, but women are attractive. I don't consider it true.

Also, the makers of the programme were probably being very mindful of their audience, and the possibility that certain individuals who own televisions might feel compelled to screech insults at anyone who does something vaguely shocking.

There were probably people who would have liked to have made a more "confrontational" show, but were stopped by these concerns.

One hypothesis about the hatred of gays in the Bible: The writers of OT probably had contact with the gay-tolerent Greek culture, which the priest class in the OT does not want the people to identify with. Greek culture was too attractive at that time to many adherents that they abandoned their original faith...and thus the hatred of all things Greek?

More likely the Canaanites, and other pagan cults of the time, some of which had male temple prostitutes.
