KA is obviously an imposter. Every True Atheist knows about tracing posts through IP addresses.
No True Atheist would think that knowing a few words in a few dead languages gives one leave to heap generic abuse on others. Especially when has has trouble reading and understanding English. Mensa Man indeed. |

In King Arthur's first post in that thread, he writes: "I found this thread so fascinating, I went out and bought a book on old testastament criticism (Old Testament Textual Criticism: A Practical Introduction, by Ellis R. Brotzman) to check out all the claims for myself."
It is by now obvious that King Arthur had read books in Old Testament criticism before and that King Arthur did not buy his first book on the OT due to the prompting of that thread. At least, he seems to know Greek and Hebrew well enough. King Arthur wrote in the 500 people thread: "You may not like my style, but we're a lot closer in ideology than you or others may realize." Since I am an atheist, why would our similarity in ideology be remarkable, unless King Arthur is betraying a belief of some kind? Now, although King Arthur doesn't seem to have been forthcoming, I will not say that he is a total fraud. I think that most believers have a little bit of atheist inside of them just bursting to get out: that nagging voice of doubt that they hear if only in the quiet of night as they lay their heads down to sleep and their minds do their periodic sweep of things to do and things to think about. So it may be that King Arthur has been indulging his skeptical streak, and although a stronger motive would be the attempt to garner some credibility among infidels with the title of atheist, these motivations could have worked in tandem. So, King Arthur, I don't think you are Bede, and I haven't verified for myself that you are Haran, but I hope that you find out who you really are and what you really believe for yourself and then be true to that. You do not have to go under false pretenses in order to get a hearing among anyone whose opinion is worth courting. You have found the truth of the saying so brutally, oh what tangled webs we weave... best, Peter Kirby |

Peter, you would be a model of Christian charity if only you were a Christian.
Unfortunately, King Arthur identified his inner atheist with his inner spoiled brat, as if he would be a thoroughly obnoxious fellow if he didn't have religion to keep him in check. Here's hoping he's gotten it out of his system. |

Unless, of course, I am a Christian posing as an atheist! <CUE TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC - do de doo doo, do de doo doo, do de doo doo...> best, Peter Kirby |

I think Peter's revelation was the nail in the coffin. KA should know we are not exactly idiots here.

When Haran posted during business hours the IP address was different. It derived from a private block assigned to XXXXXXXX Corporation in XXXXXXXXXXXX. On May 15th at 10:56 am In the thread "Barbara Thiering and the Dead Sea Scrolls" Haran posted from what I presume was his office routing through IP # 199.46.XXX.XXX. Now as if it were not strange enough that you both posted in off hours from the same IP from ATT Worldnet and that Haran bid farewell in precisely the same thread you first appeared in. I noted that on July 26th at 1:11 pm in the thread titled "Archaeology and History" you, KA, posted from the same subnet (specifically IP 199.46.XXX.XXX) assigned in the same block to XXXXXXXXX Corporation. It is inconceivable that you and Haran would have the same PRIVATELY assigned IP through a corporation, NOT an ISP, AND coincidentally have the same ISP assigned static address. Either you and Haran are using the same two computers, at roughly the same times of day, one of which is in a private company, or you are the same person.
