You are right there are no god or gods anywhere.
I was born an atheist and i returned to my atheist self 50 years ago. Igave all religion up when I was eighteen. After all, this is an atheist website isn't?

So what religion do you follow? None? Are you just a theist who believes in some god but doesn't worship him?

Hello, everettf, and welcome. Yes this *is* an atheist website, although we do have theists who post here regularly. It gives us people to argue with. Plus, just as there are different varieties of believer, there are different varieties of unbeliever; I, for instance, name myself an atheist/pantheist. We have agnostics, non-cognitivists, deists, pagans, and many others too. Even Christians like theophilus and magus, who the rest of us normally pile up on.

As a mod, I try to prevent obstruction, body checking, and heavy tackles by either side. We try to keep this forum calm, and as cool as possible considering the explosive nature of our topic.

None. Not a defined, named religion.

God doesn't require worship (unless He is created in man's image).

BTW, from my saying "I don't believe God has a son, I'm a unitarian" you conclude I don't worship God?! How so? Do Jews and Muslims, who too are unitarian monotheists, not worship God? Oh, I forgot: anything that's not Christianity isn't really worship of God. Yeah, I have to remember this is Magus speaking.

Why would you think I, as an atheist, would beliieve in an god or gods.

no more than I believe in ghost goblins or the devil. I guess some people need a crutch to get through life. I have no problem with what people believe. as long as they don't hit me over the head with ther beliefs.

I believe in people and their ability to reason and protect, as much as they can, humanity. Unfortunatly religion has a way of interfering.

That is an amazing picture, and if I need a god, I will stare at that picture for a while. Wow.

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." - Colossians 1:15

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen" - Timothy 1:17

You know, it's kinda hard to see something that is invisible. ^_^

but of course, that doesn't mean God doesn't exist! Gravity is invisible, but it exists. A black hole is invisible, but it exists. While not in the exact same settings as the previous examples, God does exist. We just can't see Him. And good thing, too. If we were to see Him in all His glory, well, we'd be pretty much roasted (for lack of a better word) by His holiness. I mean, can sinful eyes really behold righteous spirit without suffering? (Isaiah chapter 6)

Thank you for your time. May you have a nice day. ^_^

Gravity, black holes, there are scientific tests to determine their existence. Give me scientific data to prve the existence of god, at least to the extent that other unseeables are proved."

BTW, you know that a carbuncle is "an inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue, resembling a boil, but larger and more painful". Interesting choice for an alias.

Actually, a carbuncle could also mean:

1. a cabonchon-cut garnet
2. any rounded red gem

If you really want to know, I was referring to the red gem.

Have a nice day! ^_^
