The only bad thing about atheism...
Ok, here's a quick quiz: What would be 10 times better than sex, 20 times better than 10 consecutive super bowls, and 40 times better than a super-nut-fudge bar?
That's right, it would be laughing at a fundy after s/he is proven wrong! Wouldn't it be great if atheism had some sort of afterlife, where a Christian would finally realize that they believed in a fairy tale their entire life? You could finally sneer at that damn fundy who sent you godspam; who ostracized you because s/he knew you were an atheist; who evangelized incessantly and threatened hellfire if you didn't convert because of their pathetic logic! I think laughing at them once they knew they were wrong would be the ultimate experience. The only bad thing about atheism is that, under our belief system, we won't be able to do it. (Sorry if this is the wrong forum; I debated between the Humour forum and this. But since this wasn't funny per se, I punted it here. ) [ May 03, 2002: Message edited by: Id ]</p> |

Yep, atheism doesn't have much going for it in the hope department.

There's always cackling manically on your deathbed, mocking all Christians, and repeating the Emperor's death-scene from the 'Dark Crystal'...

What would be alright is if there was a God of Reason. Your reward in the afterlife would be proportional to the degree you relied on rational thought in your lifetime. Conversely, your punishment would be an inverse function. I wouldn't mind having a few fundy slaves.

Haha, I like that "God of reason" idea. In fact, to flex my mad Perl skillz, I made a little website that will test whether you are going to logic hell, logic limbo, or logic heaven!

Although your OP is interesting, I must pick an extremely important nit: Quote:

Ever thought that you were just as bad as the fundamentalist, Id? I Always considered atheists to be tolerant.
