Success Story
I know many of us sometimes feel that it is worthless to try and explain to believers the faults and fallacies found in their beliefs. Many of us have also been faced with anger and intolerance when explaining how skepticism, critical thinking, and using the scientific method are the best methods available of filtering out reality from the bunk. Most of the time our efforts seem to be a waste. But every once in a while, someone listens. They begin to disable their preconceptions and prejudices. They examine and evaluate claims, beliefs, and life in a new and critical way. They begin to think for themselves.
One such case is demonstrated here. I received this e-mail from a friend who, a previously stanch Christian, is starting to see things in a new light after several conversations with him: Quote:
It is delightful to see someone that used to be such an unwavering believer start to progress beyond their superstitions, narrow views, and blind faith. Any more success stories? |
