The athiest and the thiest.
The atheist will admit he does not know the answers.
The theist will admit he knows the answers. The atheist will try experimenting with theories. The theist will try experimenting with his beliefs (That's why so many religions exist). The atheist will advance through the laws of nature. The theist will stagnate through the laws of god(a concept). The atheist wants to understand existence. The theist will accept existence. The atheist lives for truth. The theist lives for fantasy. The atheist will open his mind. The theist will close his mind. The atheist will accept his imperfections. The theist will accept his perfections. The atheist uses his logic and reasoning. The theist uses his belief and faith. The atheist will work within his limits as dictated by nature(as proven to exist). The theist will work within his limits as dictated by god(a concept, not proven to exist). The atheist would die with or without his belief. The theist would die to protect his belief. (hint #2 - it's "theist")
(a little advice: if you really believe this, you might want to change your profile. Either that or don't be so public with your opinions. It doesn't put you in the best light. ) Peace edited because I can't spell eithr. see. [ June 23, 2002: Message edited by: katellagen ]</p> |

"I believe in a god, but not one that is vengeful or interferring. "
...therefore, I do not believe in god. |

I'm an agnostic if you must label me and merely an observer...
I find no solace in beliefs. |

So, do you think that there might be a god, or do you think that there might not be a god?

I ate Pascal's wafer:
Assuming we're talking about the god that created "everything". Any god that needs me to worship him is insecure. Any god that needs my money, is a fraud. Any god that expects perfection, should design perfection. Any god that needs to intervene, needs to go back to design school. Any god that is understanding, should understand why I question his existence. Any god that uses fear or hate, should not expect my love. Any god that must make his presence known to man, should check his ego at the door. Therefore, I cannot agree with mosts gods created by man. I however accept that the universe is, and I can live a fulfilling life with or without a god. Veil of fire: I'm sure you'll find much more arrogant crap and I really don't care for any insecurity you may have felt by reading it. Thank you for offering your useless insight. Have a nice day. |
