Post Top 10 most "beautiful" physics experiments: proof that science means something

The anti-reason crowd here often questions the actual utility of the scientific method to advance human knowledge. Here is a good review, not only of some key examples, but of the joy, creativity and wonder involved with the practice of science.

Who does this?

I did run across this article awhile ago. Very worthwhile reading, especially if you're familiar with the experiments talked about (many of them will be known even to laymen).
