May I ask you an honest question?

Presuming you believe the above to be true, how do you objectively determine that the entity 'talking' to you is not the devil? What criteria do you use to separate your god and the devil pretending to be god? Obviously, I don't believe in either of those supposed paranormal creatures, but were the devil to exist in reality, wouldn't such deception be one of it's most often used, and effective tools?

Good Question. I've actually been asked that question before, because I'm not a "religious" person - can't find anything in the Bible about Joseph Smith or praying to Mary, etc. Religions have been exploited by man, in my opinion. I believe in the Bible and doing kind things for people, respect and love. I also believe that if you're life is worthy of blessing, then you should be blessed; something like "fruit on the tree" Bad trees can't grow good fruit.... I believe in a concept called "lifestyle evangulism", which is that your life should stand for what you believe and not so much your yapper.
The Question, yes I know. I really wanted a fancy new sports car a few years ago. I told my friend, I have this urge to go and buy this car and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm praying about it and I just don't know? He replied with the same question above? I guess you read the Bible and have to be strong enough in your faith to know what is right/wrong?
I'm a sinner, always will be and perhaps I make mistakes; Ahh, correction, not perhaps, I mean I do make mistakes.
End of story: I bought the car and I'm still very much enjoying it today! The boys that I coach in Rugby and skiing think it's the greatest thing in the world. Many of them will have the opportunity to drive it one day and I lend it out to friends often for special occasions and fun days. Fruit on the tree? I don't know, but what the heck?

Well I don't know what BTW or FWIW stands for? But it is my birthday, so thank-you!

Had a great day! Lunch with some pals and an evening with the family, birthday cake and all.

There is a book series published called the "Left Behind Series", start with book no.1 and read it. It is in a very good story format and uncovers many of the things that life is all about.

I've actually read this book series, and I thought it was pretty well written for a fantasy series...

Then I realized that the guy who wrote this actually believed that it would happen. Talking half-human demons, deadly smoke, bloody moon and everything. After visiting their forum, I found out that hundreds, if not thousands, believe this too.

My respect for the author dropped significantly.

The only thing I ever learned from that series was that Christianity was a potentially mind-numbing, intellect-killing religion. Any religion that encourages people to think this is frightening. Any God that feels the need to do all the he did in the "End Times" is a cocking-sucking mother-f***er.

My two cents.

Robinsin: Do you deliberately misspell "evangelism"? The gul makes me think of the word gullible. You might want to fix that, unless I'm failing to see what your intention is....

Does his slap his team members on the butt like coaches did back in my day, or have they given that up?
