Thumbs up

Take heart, Callina; all is not lost. I'm happy (not to mention relieved) to report that my home state's board of education recently adopted a new curriculum for Ohio's public schools that does NOT include "intelligent design."

More good news:

<a href="http://www.arizonarepublic.com/arizona/articles/0404trust04.html" target="_blank">Arizona voted against IGWT</a>

Quote:
"Rep. Mark Anderson said opponents represent only a tiny minority of Americans. Schools can post the motto if they choose, but many don't because of the threat of lawsuits, said Anderson, R-Mesa.

"I don't like having atheism imposed on me like this," he said.

Rep. Kathi Foster, D-Phoenix, responded, "So, if we don't put these posters up it's imposing atheism on Mr. Anderson? This is scaring me."
Indeed. One of the factors in the decision was that the "nice" company "donating" the posters was going to put its name and web URL on them all.
