Any good news?
I'm depressed. All the talk about in god we trust, prayer in school, the ten commandments, etc... Who wants to share an uplifting story about the separation of church and state? Anyone have an article or a link for a "keeping god out of government" success story? C'mon, there has to be something!

The Senate Democrats rejected Charles Pickering, a conservative Bush tried to appoint to the bench. This indicates they might have the backbone to stand up to a truly bad Supreme Court nominee.
I'll think of more. |

Thanks, guys. Sadly, I know nothing about Pickering, but I'll see what I can find. Oops, I had read the preschool article already and then promptly forgot it. Thanks.
I think I found one in our local paper. Quite a shock. <a href="http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/metro/0302/0329teach.html" target="_blank">Metro Atlanta school teaches evolution</a> There are some inflammatory statements made by the creationists that go unchallenged, but the end result is good. |

Is there any good news? Of course Callina! Regis and Lew defeated Sharra, and you were there at the end too. Cheer up! Your sacrifice is worth it.

Pres. George W. Bush again positively recognizes unbelievers in <a href="http://www.voanews.com/article.cfm?objectID=B377BE94-6455-4516-A3082C04ECCCEB68&Title=Bush%20Easter%20Message%3A% 20Evil%20Will%20Not%20Prevail" target="_blank">his Easter broadcast.</a>

Regarding Bush's easter broadcast -- I suppose it is better than nothing, but his statements still leave me wanting more. I guess it would be impossible for him to use the word "atheist" in the same sentence as the word "good".
