I cannot understand people that think life as no meaning for an Atheist. Don't they understand that a delusion cannot give life a meaning? It just makes you blind. Don't they know most killings in human history were religion inspired??
Are they scared to understand that our existence on earth has in the greater time span, no influence on what happens to this planet? Do they really need an imaginary overlord to exist?? They are sick. Not us. |

Thanks for the info guys. Just to give you a better idea of what I am dealing with over there that AJA thinks the Roman Empire fell due to homosexuality.
I'd point out the info on Nietzsche JL but I really don't like debating with someone on something I'm not familiar with. I'm betting he hasn't read much of Nietzsche's writings himself he's just getting his selective "taken out of context" quotes from a fundy christian site. I'll have to read some of Nietzsche's works. |

The guy is a bigot. I have many Christians on my watched user list and yet you don't see me dropping them off of it after I've argued with them. I just don't talk to them for a while if we've argued.
I was having a bad day Sat and yesterday as I was at the hospital visiting my Grandmother. She was having a bad couple of days so these morons got to me. She's better now. She's suffering from congestive heart failure and fluid buildup in her lungs and chest cavity brought on by it. Funny how he isn't against the OT as that's a handguide to genocide by god and his disciples. You learn how to dash the heads of babies in it as well. It's ok to do that to babies as long as they are immoral heathens. |

Glad your grandmother is feeling better.
That is a pretty sick passage. When you argue those verses it usually ends up with "God's ways aren't our ways" or "they had to keep the race pure so the lord could be born to a pure israel" or some such crap. I guess if you want to believe something, you'll rationalize why things are ok. When god supposedly says it, it's hard to understand since God is love. If a person says it, it makes alot more sense. Just imagine, some guy is walking down the street and all of the sudden he is possessed by god and gets all excited and runs to a pad and quill to write a song God dictates to him word for word about babies getting their heads bashed. Oh, the thrill of it all! |

Thanks
I'm sure we silly heathens are just misinterpreting the passage. God wanted his disciples to dash the babies head with holy water. Sounds like it would be a big hit in the fundamentalist community. [ April 29, 2002: Message edited by: Bane ]</p> |

Well it's god. I'm sure he had nerf back then. What better way to show your love to humanity than to nerf them?
