and the same goes for the prosecution? Why would it be OK to drag an innocent person through the mud regardless if they are accussed or accusser? I see a lack of consistency in your position.

Basically allowing the accusser to hide gives the accusser license to make up stories to smear someone and then hide.

If one is accussing, then one should be known.

Angry Another link about flawed rape laws and Kobe

Rape law seems to be very unfair and prone to sending innocent men to jail:

" In that case in Denver three years ago, the prosecution’s only evidence was the woman’s testimony. There were no injuries to suggest that force was used, no friends to testify that the woman had been distressed afterward. The victim was such a convincing witness that the jury rejected the defense of consensual sex. The defendant, who had no prior criminal record, is now serving a minimum 16-year prison term and faces years of closely supervised probation upon release."

Apperantly the accusation is enough to send an innocent man to jail, proof beyond reasonable doubt be damned. I suspect Kobe will not be able to get a fair trial in Colorado.

When will the pendulum start to swing other way so men can start getting some justice?
