Once radioactivity was discovered a lot of arguments went down the tubes.
Well yeah. Most good creationist arguments stem back from 16th century science.

Big Spoon's profile shows he (or she) is an atheist, and the statement was in quotes, so I'm assuming it's a joke on his or her part, anyway.

But in the spirit of the thread, if motion pictures evolved from still photography, why does still photography still exist?

Well, either way it provides a laugh. one way it's a laughter of sadness though.

If I am descended from Danes, how come there are still Danes?

And of course since I believe that I am descended from Vikings I must therefore loot, murder, fight to the death, etc.

If I drive a 2001 F150, how come my co-worker still has a 1978?

The best reply I ever saw to that was:
"If god made Adam from dirt, then how come we still have dirt?"

Actually, I used the clay argument against them.
Clays generally consist of "Silicon, aluminum and iron oxides"
Human body consists of " Oxygen 65%, Carbon 18%, Hydrogen 10%, ..."
The bible says man was first created of dust and when we die, we turn to dust, therefore, we are made of dust still. However, if we are, why is there no similarity to the composition?

All I got was that part wasn't literal and I'm misinterpreting it.

Did you respond with the fact that the part about the "Great Flood" isn't literal, either? It's not like anyone can reasonably assume that Noah rounded up two of every animal we see on earth today and kept them on his ark for a year while not letting them eat each other. Such a task would easily rival the one faced by Santa Claus every December 25th. Then you have the whole destruction of genetic diversity, which would be physically detectable today through analysis of mitochondrial DNA. And then you've got the whole human inbreeding thing going on, which I thought God was opposed to, but perhaps I'm mistaken here. If only Noah and his close family members survived, don't you have brothers and sisters sleeping together in order to repopulate the human race? What kind of person can claim with a straight face that the account of Noah is anything but a parable?

Here’s one of the more unusual and interesting refutations of the Flud:

Young-earth creationism is faced with many difficulties in explaining the real world. One more item which it can't explain is the existence of dried and petrified turtle poop (coprolite, in scientific terms). Young-earth creationists believe that the geologic record is the result of a major catastrophe in which everything (or nearly everything) was deposited within a single year. That leaves certain difficulties.
I like this thread! If Jigglypuff evolvs into Wigglytuff, then why are there still Jigglypuffs?

Thanks to the grandkids for that last.
