If Christ was the fulfillment of Judiasm, why are there still Jews?

While I agree this is probably as good of a criticism I have seen of evolution from fundamentalist religion, it is merely because they are ALL so obviously wrong....

My initial impulse was to move this to Humor; it is funny, and any creationist who sees the humor should see just how bad the arguments for his/her belief actually are. But in the EoG forum, there was a thread called something like 'Worst reasons to believe in God' which went on to be an interesting and useful conversation, so I'll leave this alone for now. If any of the other mods decide to move it though, I've no problem.

Nope. I've been asked that very question in all seriousness. Fortunately the person involved was bright enough (she's a good friend) to understand the answer to the line she'd been fed. (Last I'd heard, she was happy to accept evolution of everything from the first cell up. Which is near enough, I suppose .)

As to whether it's the worst creationist argument... has anybody seen a good one?

DT

Well, there used to be fairly good ones (or at least interesting ones that were difficult to dispute) such as the warmth of the earth - assuming no radioactive decay in the core - and the luminosity of the sun - assuming its energy source was gravitational contraction and not thermonuclear fusion.

Once radioactivity was discovered a lot of arguments went down the tubes.
