Post Henry H. Halley

Henry H. Halley was the author of the most commonly used "Halley's Bible Handbook." I do not know about other denominations, but in Church of Christ households it was often the most important book after the Bible.

Does anyone know anything about Halley personally? What was his denomination? How long did he live and when did he die, ect.?

Thanks.
