there was no such man as Adam. We are not descended from Adam. We are descended from ape-like ancestors. That's a fact. There was no Original Sin. So there is no need for a saviour from Original Sin.

Actually, it isn't a fact. Science is never fact, that is a proven statement. Science is based on observation and assumption, with theories being presented based on those observations. There is absolutely NO proof that humans decended from apes, only conjecture. You don't know that Adam didn't exist, and there is no Original sin. You can't disprove it, so stop speaking from a point of arrogance as though you know everything.

I know Adam didn't exist, and that's as sure as my and your Plantaris Muscle. Oh, you don't know what the Plantaris Muscle is? It's the muscle at the human calf, a muscle that has no use at all, except for giving you pain when it's strained, but in apes serves to flex all the toes together simultaneously - useful for swinging between trees. Why would God give us a useless muscle which functions in apes? Could it be... shudders... that we evolved from apes and lost the muscle functionality when we got down from the trees?

Oh, and emotional. Care to show me where on talkorigins it says for a fact we are descendants of apes? All i see are fossils with similarities between ape and human. That isn't evidence for human evolution, thats evidence for a single designer who integrates the same basic concepts in all of his creations.

Nope, because iv'e been to talk origins and haven't found anything convincing to shatter my faith. Human evolution from apes isn't a fact, so how could it shatter my faith?

God didn't reduce the life expectancy, sin did. The more corrupt the world and each generation got, from the beginning of the pure bloodline, the shorter the life expectancy got until it tapered off. Yes, medicine has helped it go back up some, but science will never give humans back a thousand year life expectancy.
