I am really surprised that the evolution/creation thread is one of the biggest on the discussion forum. For me that is just such an absolut non-topic.

There is just no point in discussing evolution over creation. Evolution is just one of those beautiful explanations that while you are learning about it as a child you already feel like you've always known it because it's just so fucking obvious. For heavens sake you can even watch it happen for bacteria on an agar plate. </strong>
Evolution vs creation is a Christian red herring.

Of course, we atheists, are masters of letting Christians distract us.

When someone tries to relate atheism to Evolution, I say the following:

Quote:
The refutation of any scientific theory will not makes gods existence likely nor plausible. Further, the creationist phenomenon is mostly an American phenomenon. People in most all industrialized countries or cultures with modern education believe in evolution without controversy. This includes the believers. In fact a good percentage of believers in the U.S. believe in evolution as well. My suggestion would be to find those believers who believe in evolution and ask them how it is they can so easily reconcile their faith and evolution.

We kinda do.

The same arguements have been hashed and re-hashed on news:\\talk.origins and archived for reference.

Very very nice. However, where's the fun in that?

BTW: May I use this?

Oh yes. Try it on college campuses or with street corner "witnesses."

Watch them choke and stutter.

Now that's fun!

...and a good time was had by all.
