Not me. I am not a Christian. What ever gave you that idea?
Your incomprehension and your holier than thou attitude marks you as christian flotsam no matter what your current beliefs are.

If you people can stick to a debate, I would not have to explain myself so much.
This is rich and delicious praise coming from the master.

Quote:
I am sorry you are insulted by me, defining myself as an individual.
Let's explore your comment, shall we?

Quote:
I am not like you people,
Polarizing, objectifying, dehumanizing, and a flat out lie.

Quote:
who need peer support to augment their standards and their cases.
Incorrect, specious, shallow, and condescending.

Quote:
I am truly an individual. and damm proud of who I am.
Polarizing, self serving, insulting.

Quote:
Most of you define yourselves as Atheists and are proud of it,
Incorrect. I do not define myself as an Atheist, and you should know all about pride my dear sophist.

Quote:
why can't I define my individuality , without King Rat becoming insulted?
Because you have other more important work to do, like back up your assertions.

Now here comes livius drusus. Who has been inviting him in?
Um, you?

Default sophie - a suggestion

sophie -
1. if you really want a "debate" I'm sure the moderators would be willing to set up a formal one for you, with all the needed parameters, definitions, etc.; and assist in finding a willing opponent. These other forums, I'm sure you know, are basically a free-for-all.

2. to satisfy my own curiosity, would it be possible for you to give us a brief synopsis of your beliefs in regard to religion, the existence of God, etc? Keeping in mind that I'm just an old dirt farmer, not a philosopher or scientist.

Thanks

My main interest is understanding, intelligence and transferring information. More of a research topic than a debating topic. I could debate lack of understanding leads to tightly closed systems or societies.

I think religion has been corrupted for human purposes. Humans wrote the scripts, and what has to be deciphered is what has the best chance of being the word of the not(human) versus what is most likely the human representation. I have my personal private omniGOD, like my lovers I never share. ect. is a thing which keeps growing with entropy.

First of all, if you ever stop using word soup and tried for clarity instead of your usual obfuscatory verbiage, you wouldn't get so many requests for clarification.

Second, if you have a problem with a moderator, there is a specific forum for that: Bugs, Problems & Complaints. Your childish little snipes are not welcome.

In my vast life experience, I usually find this a matter of personal opinion. <snip> I could'nt include the last sentence because the clarity of the statement could be construed to be not as accomodating to understanding as people in China may feel they posess.

Now back to the topic at hand.

That's hilarious. There is an old saying: "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit." I think you will find that everyone here finds the majority of your posts quite baffling.

You must understand "god is omnipotent" is your assertion. Hence you have the burden to provide us with how you define the nature of omnipotent. I agree to use whatever your choice is for this argument. If you cannot decide then please make a case for each possible choices or roll a die. Note that I agree to use your choice does not imply I accept any contradictions that your choice may induce to the argument.

Now make your choice, then your case.

Remember to declare all your assertions, assumptions and definitions before you make your case to avoid confusions!
