Talking Salvation for us nonbelievers? (1 Cor.)

So I'm happy to read a few posts here at II. Today, I read one by Radorth, saying that people who seek truth or something of the like are saved. (Dunno how this fits in with the 'there is no way but through me' theology)
But better, I heard someone mention 1 Corinthians 7:14? 14:7? some verse in 1 Cor. about marriage and unbelievers.
Well, I glanced at the verse, and it seemed to say that unbelievers married to believers would be saved through their spouses.

So what's the scholarly interpretation of this verse? I apologize for not having the exact verse. Hopefully someone can help me out. I'd like to know if I'll be saved if I marry a Christian. Wouldn't that be fun? Yes, I know, all you hardliner atheists are thinking "what do you care, there's nothing to be saved from". Yeah, I know, it would just be a fun fact to know.

Discussion can also go into any other potential ways for an infidel to still be saved, a la Radorth's ideas I mentioned. (specifically, Christians renouncing Christianity still count as Christians to him, and truth-seekers in general, maybe, too?)

Default Oh, there's more

The most popular interpretation of that verse I have heard(lame) essentially states that this only means that only the unbelievers likelihood of eventually being saved is increased by godly influences and such(the verse doesn't use the word saved, but sanctified or something rather in the king james). Along a similar vein, there are passages in the NT which some early church Fathers used to support a view that most or all people would eventually be saved somehow. First Corinthians 15:22-28, Colossians 1:15-20, John(gospel of ) 12:32 and quite a few others. Of course, most christians find ways to twist these verses to mean something totally different from what they would to a normal person. I suppose they're just sweeping pesky contradictions between the biblical writers under the rug, as usual.

Or maybe they don't want you to read the fine print, if everyone will be saved sooner or later there is no need for their product.
maybe God said "humans, what a bunch of clowns, totally clueless. I'll just save the lot of them, screw those Christians. They've made enough money off of me already"
