.... how do you know he wasn't posing as God and is the real author of The Bible?

My opinion is that this is a big stickler for Xians. This is actually one of the better arguments I've heard against the Bible. Logically, nothing would prevent this from happening. That is, logically if you had accepted the Xian story in the first place!

Not to mention, why would Satan tell people how to be saved?

He could tell them a false way to salvation, could he not?

Satan wants all humans to burn in Hell with him, thats his whole point.

And he's tricked all Xians into going there!

I think thats one of the worst arguments against the Bible. Satan would never write the Bible, because it tells us how to be saved which he doesn't want. And if Satan exists, God exists -

Are you kidding? Aren't you aware of all the spinoff religions from the Bible, such as Islam and Mormonism? Why did god allow those religions?

Magus, you're missing the point. If the devil is the true author of the bible, then it certainly isn't the way to salvation. It's probably just subtly misleading, skirting around the true point of eternal life but never striking home.

Who says the devil can't do good? Every single soul he deconverts means another eternity of suffering, and is thus an infinitely evil act. He could donate fifty million to cancer research if the result were even one soul turned away from heaven. The payoff would be more than worth the earthly misery spared.

Please explain how the existence of god immediately confirms the bible as the word of god.

Edit: For that matter, please explain how the existence of Satan immediately confirms the existence of god.

You need to think from different perspectives magus. There really is no way of knowing if satan wrote the bible, since everything in it would be a lie. I guess the xians would tell you that's why they need "faith."

Biblically Speaking

satan is the author of confusion and father of all lies,if that is the case than I would be leading to the possibility that the bible was written with the inspiration of satan because the bible is definately full of confusion and lies.

That is why there are so many sects of christianity,the bible is so unclear that everyone has their own interpretation of it to believe what they want to believe to win an arguement.

Do an experiment,Go to a minister of a church and ask the minister "what is the evil spirit from god" He will either stay silent or dance around it.

Also ask him why jesus is 2000 years late and about the earth set on pillars.(I assume you know what verses)

I promise he will be dancing like john travolta on saturday night fever.If he even responds to your questions. ROFL

No, he'd have to write a book chock full of God-ordained murder, war, adultery, incest, polygamy, smashing of babies on rocks, genocide, killing of newborns, killing of children with bears, rape of small girls, and and innocent man being tortured and killed over the course of three hours. Among other things.

This alleged Satan Book would also have to inspire hate-filled zealots and cause more war and death and suffering than any other book ever written in the history of mankind.

God and Satan are pretty cozy, anyway. God lets Satan come to the big house on the hill and hang with God's other sons (Book of Job) so who's to say Satan didn't see a copy of the Grand Plan and make some tweaks. Then he could have released his own version that guarantees you DON'T get into heavan if you follow it.
