Rev. Phelps is planning to stage a anit-gay protest at the University of Idaho on July 6th.

I will be making the drive up to Moscow, ID to participate in a counter protest. If any of the other NW Infidels are interested in joining me let me know so we can hook up.

Good luck with your protest of Phelps.

One thing I have always wanted to hear Phelps answer: "Fred, have you ever had sex with another man or been sexually attracted to another man?" Phelps was on Manhattan (KS) radio stations several times around the early 90s, and this was asked of him at least 3 times. I find it rather interesting that he does not answer it. He makes a comment to the effect of it being a rediculous question or trying to smear his good name.

Good luck! I hope you get a chance to speak to him directly. It's not at all hard to stupify him once he stops yelling long enough for you to ask him a direct question.

the reason Phelps has decided to protest in my home state involve some student leaders that were caught destroying property.

it seems that a couple of months ago a small group stole the rainbow flag outside one of the gay/lesbian groups office and decided to burn it. They were caught and I beleive may have been expelled. So Phelps to the rescue.

If anything can convince these guys that what they did was wrong it is Phelps coming to their defense.

Amen. A couple of years ago, my local university was hosting a conference for the welcoming congregations (gay-friendly) of many "mainstream" churches, and Phelps et al. That fact alone was enough for me to volunteer to help out at the conference.
