A new argument for belief in God?
The poster pretty much said this:
God will witness to you, but if you don't follow him, he may use you to make others follow him. Like I heard this one time a stubborn person wouldn't believe in god, but he was killed and that led people around him to god. So now its Pascal's Wager, but now its more about being terminated during life rather than just hell. Anyone else get this argument thrusted upon them? |

If anyone used that arguement to me, I would have to take it as a serious death threat and alert the authorities.

So the argument is if I don't accept God, something bad might happen to me to serve as an example for others? If that's correct, it's ridiculous. How many bad things have happened to devout Christians--car crashes, illnesses, murders, etc? Maybe that's because Zeus, or Mithras, or Allah is showing what happens to non-believers.

...Oh, that's okay - some street-corner preacher told me I had 'free will' so my ass is safe.
